Hello!
I am a multi-lingual journalist and science writer, specializing in tech/AI.
Currently, I work as a research collaborator for Argonne National Laboratory and am working to redirect my career back to science writing and/or technical writing.
I have experience working for CMSWire, the National Center for Supercomputing Applications, and as a freelancer — all in science writing capacities. Other experience includes working in the tech industry (AI) as a contract linguist for both Google and Meta.
In 2021, I earned a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, graduating summa cum laude. My undergraduate degree is an honors B.A. in linguistics and French with a minor in political science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
After my B.A., I completed additional STEM coursework and a pharmacology internship at Case Western Reserve University.
In addition to my native language of English, I am fluent in French at a C1 level (C1 means I’m capable of understanding demanding texts and conveying complex ideas). I have also studied German (2.5 years), Arabic (1.0 years), Italian (0.5 years), Japanese (0.5 years), and have had exposure to several other languages such as Tamil and Spanish.
I spend my free time reading, walking in nature, and learning as much as possible about the world around me.
